The OEM iPod kit comprises of an interface to allow direct connection from an iPod to VW Passat with Philips, Gamma (under volume control) head units in following VW models:

    *       VW All models   upto 19997

Simply plug the interface kit together and into the back of the VW radio, and connect your iPod.

Features:

    * Converts iPod to act as a CD changer
    * Song information displayed on the iPod screen (3G and up)
    * Play Time presented on Radio Display

Directly controls iPod:

    * Start/stop at selection/deselection of CD Changer source
    * Next/Back, FF/REW, Random/Repeat/Scan (if radio supports)
    * Direct access to the first 5 playlists by selecting Discs

Control your iPod:

Use your radio to navigate through playlists, albums and songs and access the simple to use ipod interface. The adaptor interprets the radio controls from your vehicle to the iPod to emulate a fully loaded CD changer with advanced features. You will not be able to use the ipod to change tracks etc.

Text Display:

You will only see tracks 1-3 on the display of the stereo.

Folder selection is not possible with this OEM package and ID3 tags can not be displayed on the radio. For use only where you don't have a changer fitted or where removing the disc change to be replaced by the Connects2 ipod connection.Once this connection has been fitted you will not be able to use the disc changer
